Story
Ramakrishna (played by Srikant Meka) is an experienced cop working in the Kotabommali police station. He works with two new police trainees, Ravi Kumar (Rahul Vijay) and Kumari (Shivani Rajasekhar). Barisela Jayaraj (Murali Sharma) is a powerful politician, who wants to win elections in the area by dividing the people along caste lines.
One day, Ramakrishna and his team member face a big problem that could derail Jayaraj’s electoral plans. Jayaraj is taking steps to address this issue. Whether the cops help each other or not, the film shows what Jayaraj does and how the situation eventually unfolds.
Strength
The makers of the new Telugu movie Kotabommali PS say they adapted only the central plot from the Malayalam film Nayattu, but the whole remake closely follows the original movie. However, the team did a good job dealing with this challenge by carefully choosing the cast and filming locations.
Srikanth Meka gives a nuanced and praiseworthy performance as a responsible police officer and caring father. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar skillfully plays an investigating officer.
