It has already beaten Kalki 2898 AD and surpassed the opening day pre-sales of RRR, securing the 3rd spot behind KGF Chapter 2 and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. As soon as advance bookings opened in Andhra Pradesh, the movie saw a massive surge. Initially, Telangana was leading in sales, but now both Telugu states are showing extraordinary numbers. The increase in ticket prices is helping the film, but more importantly, the high occupancy rates are impressive. Telangana has already crossed 70% occupancy, while Andhra Pradesh is close to 55%.

Across the country, Pushpa 2 has made a whopping ₹64.10 crores gross in advance bookings for day 1 as of 10 AM IST. This includes the sale of over 19.72 lakh tickets across all languages and formats. Although the 3D release has been delayed, it won’t affect the numbers much as the demand for 3D tickets was relatively low.
Out of the massive ₹64.10 crore gross from advance bookings, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh alone have contributed around ₹32 crores. Following these two states, Karnataka and Maharashtra have picked up momentum, with over ₹5 crores in bookings already done for day 1. Among cities, Hyderabad leads the pack with pre-sales of nearly ₹15 crores.
With these numbers, Pushpa 2 has secured the third highest day 1 advance booking in Indian box office history. It has surpassed Kalki 2898 AD’s ₹55.30 crores and RRR’s ₹59 crores. While the film is expected to cross ₹70 crores in the final tally, it will still fall short of breaking into the top 2, which is dominated by Baahubali 2 (₹80 crores) and KGF Chapter 2 (₹80.50 crores).
